Complete Highlights of last night’s Game
HONORING ERNIE WITH A WIN -
What better way to honor Mr. Harwell than with a win against the defending champs? So many highlights to choose from (I’ll get full game highlights up later) but I decided on the final inning that left Rod Allen screaming, “That’s a closer… THAT IS A CLOSER!”

The Wings are in better shape than a lot of us think. Finally have a Goalie for the future, just waiting on Hudler to come back and hopefully the resigning of Lidstrom (PS Detroit Management: give him however much money he wants, and then double it). We will be back, we will be deep, we will be champions again soon.

Lost in the Franzen Frenzy of last night’s game is the fact that very quietly, Todd Bertuzzi is putting together a very nice, and very important, postseason of his own.

Averaging out all of the different player ranking systems, Miguel Cabrera is the clear-cut #1 player in all of baseball right now.

Wow
Wings lose 4-3 in OT and minutes later the Tigers lose 4-3 on a pass ball in the bottom of the ninth inning. Really don’t know how well I’ll sleep tonight.

Austin Jackson takes over the lead for best Batting Average in Baseball. He leads the league in strikeouts, but still has an On-Base percentage well over .400… this kid is the real deal.

Datsyuk scores a freaky naughty goal to put the Wings up 2 in last night’s game 7 against the Coyotes. I just want to ask Pav how it is that he does what he does…

Did you know that since 1997, the Lions’ first round picks have been to a COMBINED 4 Pro-Bowls??? The worst number in the league. Cleveland is the 2nd worst with 7 Pro-Bowl seasons turned in by their first round picks since 1997. How does this compare with the good teams? Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and even Seattle have over 30 Pro-bowl seasons turned in by their draftees.

Red Wings Playoff Run Begins Tonight
10pm on Versus or FSD against the Phoenix Coyotes. It’s time to get excited!
After a terrible start by Verlander and a 5-0 first inning hole, the Detroit Tigers battled and clawed their way back into the game. The Tigers put 2 on the board in the 8th to make it an 8-6 game, setting up an unbelievable 9th inning. Maggs and Cabrera were enormous all day long and found themselves in the thick of it again as they both reached base, along with Ryan Rayburn getting walked and a...

Miggy finished the series 8-14 with 8 rbis and 2 homeruns. Too early to start the MVP chants? It was good to see Valverde throw a good inning as well. Damon, who wasn’t hitting well today showed his value by earning a walk in the 8th inning to start the rally. We haven’t had a lot of patient hitters over the last few years so it was nice to see the rally begin with the Vet. Porcello will open the...
