After a terrible start by Verlander and a 5-0 first inning hole, the Detroit Tigers battled and clawed their way back into the game. The Tigers put 2 on the board in the 8th to make it an 8-6 game, setting up an unbelievable 9th inning. Maggs and Cabrera were enormous all day long and found themselves in the thick of it again as they both reached base, along with Ryan Rayburn getting walked and a couple other things going our way, a bases loaded 4-pitch walk to Johnny Damon set up Scott Sizemore coming to the plate in a tie ballgame…
